“We couldn’t have picked a better photographer for our wedding day than Simon. He made everyone comfortable from the moment we met him, and managed to capture some really special moments. The photographs we received are beautiful and capture the entirety of our special day perfectly – Simon seems to have been everywhere without ever getting in the way!

A genuinely great guy whose work speaks for itself, we can’t recommend Simon highly enough. Thanks for everything!”

When you get an awesome couple and your favourite Glasgow venue, magic will happen (yes I said it, House for an Art Lover is hands down my most favourite venue in Glasgow ?)

I had only Skyped with Allison and Ian before their wedding but knew straight away it was going to be smashing. Met with the Gents in the morning for a bit of prep. (On this note……..Second photographer chat….. I shot this wedding on my own. 75% of the weddings I shoot, I do on my own.) We went for a wee walk round Queens park- make sure to check the mad old fella photobombing! Then I was off to see the Ladies in the West End. Allison had mentioned the flat had a roof garden and it didn’t disappoint. We got some terrific images in the tropical Glasgow heat on the roof and all the ladies were a great laugh.

Next, off to House for an Art Lover we went! (Learnt recently that my pal and the legend Robert is leaving HFAL ?, farewell fella. Robert was consistently excellent, nothing was ever an issue and was always on hand for helping with pictures, timings and anything really. His professionalism and love for what he did always stood out to me. Best of luck in the future Robert ?)

The sun was shining and the light was glorious in the music room. There was lots of emotion and energy, it was just a beautiful ceremony. We were out on the lawn for a group shot and formals then went for a smashing walk round the park for some couples shots.

The speeches were in the large room which was a bit of a change for me. It was really cool for pictures as the Allison and Ian had a sweetheart table in the middle. Lots of emotional speeches and heart felt moments- check the image of Ian hugging his groomsmen with a tear in his eye #manfeelings

The light outside was epic just after deserts so we bolted outside for 1omins and got some beauties #costadelglasgow (remember those 2weeks of heat we had??!) Anyway I digress, back inside for some dancing and a bit a celidlh banter.

What a day! I was packed up and was nearly away when I spotted Allison messing about with her pals on the lawn. Cameras out again and away I was for “just one more picture” Previous couples will understand that phrase……there’s always just one more picture LOL.

Allison and Ian ,thank you so much for having me as your photographer. It was such a pleasure to be involved in your day and I wish you all the love and happiness in your life together.
